Triclosan
Triclosan is a chlorinated phenoxy fungicide that is marketed under the brand name of Cord EM with broad-spectrum antimicrobial activities in human personal care products like soaps, shampoos, deodorants, toothpaste, etc. It was initially designed as a surgical scrub and has been extensively used in consumer products because of the antimicrobial substances.
