Poly ethylene glycol also known as PEG is a high molecular weight compound that can be used in cosmetics and skin care products as a surfactant, thickening and skin hydrating agent. Polyethylene glycol is a synthetic polymer in which the effect of molecular weight on fluid properties enables variation in formulation applications.

BENIFITS :

PEG, polyethylene glycol functions as a humectant because they are capable of drawing moisture towards the skin making it remain soft. It has a role in regulating skin moisture by helping the skin attract water to the outer adrenal surface, which can be particularly helpful for those of us with dry skin.
